How things change!
I was just looking through my computer and came across some images of my old artwork. I used to paint and doodle alot before I had my little ones - mostly alien type creatures. It is strange to see them again, I have got no idea where the originals have gone - i think they might be at the back of our shed, i will try and dig them out tomorrow. These creatures were like good friends to me, I was in a completly different world then. I wonder if there are still they are still inside me???.....we shall have to see :)

Crafty swap.....and look what I got!
So on Friday I recieved two unknown packages through my door, then I remembered the swap! How excited was I? Not knowing what was inside, it felt like Christmas. In my mystery parcels I was thrilled to find two beautiful items.
I really love the paler streaks to the side, it gives it a little something extra.
I really love the copper findings and it has a luck theme.
I hope the recipient of my swap item was as chuffed as I am, definatly worth taking part in.

International crafty swap
I am taking part in my first art swap. I found out through Konnie Kapows blog. If it works out right I send out one creation and I should get a few back in return, its a bit like a chain letter but for crafts.

Yummy treats!
I received a parcel through the post this morning. I had ordered my little ones some gorgeous felt biscuits from Pipinopolis, they are an easter prezzie. I am just so thrilled to bits with them, I had to show them off. They are even tastier in the flesh (or should that be felt?!)

COMING SOON New shop!
I am currently in the process of setting up a new Folksy shop where I will be selling my cards. I have been meaning to do this for a while, as I have them in a few local shops, but none being displayed online. I think having their own store will showcase them better, rather than being alongside the jewellery, where I think it would look a bit unfocused.
My cards feature my simple illustrations, that have been printed, then handcoloured and cutout.

Healing properties of......breastmilk!
My little girl has been suffering from a really nasty eye infection for the past few days, and the drops that had been prescribed to her from the doctors seem to have given her a rash. My fiance, Frae, was searching the net the other night and found alot of posts saying that breast milk has amazing healing properties. So yesterday, poor little Doozie, got milk sprayed in her eye's (it sounds a bit harsh, and I think she was a little bit shocked!) Instead of the eyedrops, she just had breastmilk put it the corners of her eye's. But I think it has actually worked, her eye's are definatly noticably clearer. It is said that breastmilk can also be used to clear a blocked nose, ear infections and even nappy rash!

Update...
I have been neglecting the blog for a little while, I have been suffering with the cold from hell for about a week, and then my little Daisy-doo got it, and now the poor little miss has an eye infection. I think it is hopefully clearing up a bit now, so I will be making regular posts again.
